Where do you work?
I am based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. This gives me access to a huge range of shopping experiences locally as well as in central London. This means my client-base is pretty wide across the South-East of England.
If you are further afield, my online styling service is the one for you.
What training have you had?
I trained with The Image Consulting Company and did their week long Personal Stylist Training Course. This included lots of different aspects of styling such as Colour Analysis, Body Shape Analysis and how to curate the perfect wardrobe and create a workable easy to wear edit.
It was a fabulous course and I really enjoyed exploring something that has long been a passion of mine.
What are your favourite clothing brands?
I love the British High Street and think it is hard to beat.
I find my go to shops are H & M, Jigsaw, Whistles and Marks and Spencer’s as they offer a great selection and a wide size range. I also love Arket and Cos for a more androgenous feel and they both do a great selection of slightly more unusual pieces.
If I need a department store, then it would have to be John Lewis or Selfridge’s as they offer so many brands under one roof and have the more luxury brands if that is what my client is looking for.
What price range do you usually recommend to clients?
I think the most important thing to agree with a client at the first point of contact is their budget.
I know the High Street well so I can find what a client is looking for at the price point they are happy to spend.
I think one of the big misconceptions about having a Personal Stylist is that it costs a fortune. Actually, in the long run it will save you money as you will end up with pieces that really suit you and will work with what you already have in your wardrobe. It is just about knowing what works for you and which styles compliment your body shape and your colours.
